If you go to britannica.com,
you'll find not only their entire encyclopedia, but also links to other
websites about your topic containing historical articles or recent news.
Take a look now at the britannica.com
home page
and do a search on a topic that interests you. Click several of the
links they suggest to see the wealth of information they provide.
Try a search for "dead sea scrolls" and you'll see not only
Britannica articles, but links to other websites with information about
the scrolls.
Amazon.com
is an online bookstore, one of the largest, if not the largest, on the
Internet. But it's more than just a bookstore, because it also
give you several advantages over traditional bookstores.
For instance, when you search
for a book or topic on amazon.com,
they recommends other books on the topic people have purchased at the same time they
purchased the book you're considering buying. You can also read reader's comments on the books to
find out whether the books were helpful or not to those who read
them.
Take a look at amazon.com
and search for a book I've often recommended for Christians struggling
with homosexuality called Coming Out of Homosexuality.
When you find it, you'll see several other books that people have bought
when they bought that book, plus comments from those who have read the
books. Then join me back here.
For specifically Christian books, I recommend people
buy from christianbook.com, the
website of Christian Book Distributors (CBD). They have similar
features as amazon.com, and good prices.
We're now done with Section 2, and I'll conclude with
a few brief comments in Section 3 about ways a Christian can keep
up-to-date with what's new on the Internet.
