2. Finding Resources on Christian
"Portals" and Ministry Websites
Several people have gathered Christian-specific materials, chat
rooms, bulletin boards, videos, bookstores, and so on, in one place to make it
easier to find information of interest to Christians. These
gathering places are known on the Internet as "portals" and
serve as entry points or gateways to the Internet.
Here are two large
portals to visit:
Let's take a look at crosswalk.com
and scratch the surface of what they have to offer.
Click on this link for crosswalk.com
to go to the Crosswalk home page and take a look at the variety of information
they offer. Remember to use your BACK button to come back here and
continue through the course.
As you can see, they have links to Bible study
tools, devotionals, resources for pastors, homeschoolers, teenagers, and just about
anything you might be interested in.
In addition, many ministries have partnered with these
large portals to develop and maintain their ministry websites, so you
can find links to things like Larry Burkett's "Money
Matters."
Let's take a look at some of the benefits of
having this kind of information online on the next page as we try to
listen to Larry Burkett's radio program over the Internet.
